Learn the basics of watercolor and find the confidence to create beautiful original pieces … even if you’ve never painted before!

Watercolour Toscana will guide you step-by-step as you go from absolute beginner to confidently transforming blank pages into your own stunning artwork.

Watercolour painting is proven to benefit both mental and emotional well-being.

(but you know that)

Painting provides a form of mindfulness and offer a break from daily stress.

Engaging in art can lower cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and promote relaxation.

Creative work stimulates the brain, enhancing cognitive functions like focus, memory, and problem-solving, translating into sharper critical thinking in other areas of life.

Creative activities can help you enter a state of "flow," fully immersed in the moment. This state is shown to boost happiness and contentment as a natural way to disconnect from distractions and find joy in the process of creation.

So if you've ever thought......

As beautiful as it is, watercolour seems too difficult to master.

Art stores are overwhelming… where to even start when it comes to supplies?

I’m not creative at all! Designs would never come to life on paper the way they do for other people.

Pick up the Brush!

All it takes is a little stroke-by-stroke guidance to find creativity, confidence, and connection  as you create stunning watercolour artwork.

With clear instructions, easy-to-follow steps, and practical advice on supplies and more…

You can confidently create beautiful paintings,
no matter your experience level.

Lisa Brancatisano

I’m Lisa Brancatisano, an Australian with Italian heritage, and the Florence-based creator behind This Tuscan Life.  I first discovered watercolour painting in Florence at 22, learning in the streets and piazzas near the Uffizi Gallery alongside local artists—a magical experience that still shapes my creative identity today. Living and exploring Europe sparked a lifelong love of art, language, and the region’s rich culinary traditions, and I now share that passion with others through my work, inspiring a slow, mindful, and beautiful approach to life.

"I had the pleasure one afternoon, to take an introductory class with Lisa. I hadn’t picked up a paint brush since I was 12 years old and was really nervous. She has a very a special talent to clearly explain how each brush stroke works and how to apply various paint techniques. I was so amazed to quickly see results. Lisa is extremely encouraging and really brought out my creative spirit again."
